The Dysphagia Evaluation and Treatment: A Multidisciplinary Model course is unique and shares with learners Mayo’s holistic approach on how to diagnose and manage this complex patient. It is designed with intermediate to advanced content for the professional in speech and language pathology, radiology, ENT, neurology, and gastroenterology.

TARGET AUDIENCE: This course is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and speech language pathologists in the areas of speech pathology, ENT, radiology, neurology and gastroenterology.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize when additional evaluation is needed by another discipline to assist in diagnosis of the swallowing disorder.
- Examine dysphagia evaluation in a variety of complex patient populations in collaboration with other members of the medical team.
- Identify the range of management techniques for dysphagia associated with a variety of etiologies.
